Competition terms and conditions
By entering the Warm Homes, Clean Air competition, entrants are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following general Terms and Conditions.
Entries, selection, prizes
All decisions made by the Waikato Regional Council (“WRC”) will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. All entrants must be over 18 years of age.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash, and are not transferable to any other person, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
In the event a winner chooses not to accept the prize or does not provide contact details to enable delivery of the prize, they forfeit any claims to the prize, which can then be awarded to another entrant.
The competition closes on 7 July. Winners will be randomly selected and should expect to be notified by 14 July. One winner will be selected from a residential address in the Tokoroa airshed and one from a residential address in the Te Kūiti airshed. The amount of wood supplied may vary between one cubic metre or a trailer load depending upon supplier specifications.
Winners will be contacted by phone. If we are unable to contact the winner after trying several times over a 7-day period, WRC may select another winner and the original winner will be forfeited.
WRC will be under no obligation to notify any previous selected winners that WRC have selected another winner. If WRC picks another winner, the original winner will have no claim to receive the prize.
WRC reserve the right to refuse any prize to a person who is reasonably considered to have breached any of the competition terms or gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or obtained a winner status using fraudulent means.
The prize will be delivered to the residential address nominated by the winner. The title in and the security of the prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner(s) once the prize has been delivered.
WRC makes no representation as to the quality, suitability or exact volume of the prize. The winner(s) undertake possession of the wood on an “as is” basis.
Exclusions
The following persons are not eligible to win any prize:
Any non-resident of the Tokoroa airshed or Te Kūiti airshed.
Any employee of WRC or contractor under an employment contract of WRC, their immediate family members or any agencies or companies associated with the Competition.
